These products are often referred to as environmentally acceptable or readily biodegradable and are typically greater than 70% biodegraded. In this particular case, the bio synthetic hydraulic oil being discussed is greater than 90% biodegraded with the ability to biodegrade over a period of 28 days. It can be confusing in the market, so make sure to give customers what they need when they ask for a bio-based product.
